The short version: Operator Wanted collects nothing. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no server of ours that the game talks to. Your progress stays on your device.
This policy covers the iOS and Android apps, the free browser version and this website. The controller under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Pratik Mukerji, Mukerji Media, Zurich, Switzerland, hello@mukerjimedia.ch.
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store or sell personal data through the game. We do not use advertising IDs, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not build profiles.
To remember where you are, the game saves cleared levels, stars, best scores, career statistics, settings (sound, music, accessibility) and whether the full game is unlocked. This lives only in the app’s own storage on your device (in your browser’s local storage for the browser version). We cannot see it. Deleting the app, or clearing the site data in your browser, deletes it.
The one-time unlock is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We never see your name, payment details or store account. The game only learns from the store, on your device, whether the unlock was bought, so that it can open the extra levels and restore them on your other devices.
If you tap “share”, the game hands an image and a line of text to your device’s share sheet; where it goes next is your choice and is not visible to us. Links such as this policy open in your browser.
operatorwanted.com and the browser version at play.operatorwanted.com set no cookies and run no analytics or tracking scripts. The old addresses dinggoingup.com and ding.mukerjimedia.ch only redirect here. The game’s own fonts are hosted on the same server.
The browser version is built with Flutter, which may load its rendering engine and fallback fonts from Google’s servers (www.gstatic.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Google then sees your IP address as part of that request, under Google’s privacy policy. The iOS and Android apps do not do this.
Like any web server, ours records standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to keep the service running and secure. They are not used to identify you, not shared, and overwritten automatically: each server keeps at most about 30 MB of rolling log files (three 10 MB files), so entries normally disappear within days and are never archived. The servers are rented from Infomaniak in Switzerland.
The game works the same for every player and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Under the FADP and the GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted; you can also object to processing and ask for a copy. Because the game sends us nothing, there is normally nothing on our side to show or delete. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or to the data protection authority in your EU country.
If the game ever starts collecting data, this page will say so first, with a new date at the top, before any update that does it ships.
